I make electronic music under name Venture Silk and recently I got a telegram message from someone I don’t know, saying he found my track in his playlist and want me to join his music collective. He said the collective is mostly about community-making music, meeting up for feedback, going out together…We’ve been chatting for a few days. Nothing sketchy has happened-no links, no payment requests, no weird questions. He offered to meet in person over a drink.
Am I too much paranoid? It’s just I don’t believe a stranger can reach out to me and basically asking to be friends…I’m too skeptical 🤷‍♂️
