I ask because my dog loves to be left alone alot. As she's gotten older, she follows me less. At times I find her in another room or she prefers to sleep in the living room/other bedroom rather than with us in our bed. Mind you, she has always slept next to me since she was a puppy. There's also days where she snuggles next to me even lays on top of me. I want to say she's more independent, she's almost 3 years old. I'm curious to know if other owners have experienced this.
