What are your thoughts on this protest of DES?

Nutrition Assistance and DES have faced large cuts and new requirements from the Trump administration, due to the horrible 'Big Beautiful Bill', but let's be honest, Conservatives have always wanted poor family and children to starve, and have limited or no access to medical care (but 60 billion for ICE and 100 billion for a ballroom of taxpayer money seem reasonable to them...). So DES is processing all these new changes very slowly, but that's by design. They are likely way way understaffed for the large amount of applications and appeals, after thousands have suddenly been kicked off EBT/Food Stamps. Even if you provide documentation that you are still eligible under the new requirements, there's not nearly enough people to go through all the documents, and so even people who should be eligible are losing access to nutrition assistance. And if you've ever tried to call DES, even before all these changes, it was extremely difficult to get through to someone. Again, it's basically designed to be broken. So I understand the protest, but I hope it is directed at the correct people, and not employees of DES, who are probably miserable at their jobs every day. They can only work with what resources they have, and they do not seem to have nearly enough help. But I hope the protest makes some noise, at least.

Money is always a struggle 😩 - I am lucky to have a place to stay comfortably, but having no money is pretty brutal, and honestly embarrassing (especially as a 40 year old). I am in a new relationship, and dating is expensive, life is expensive! Not to mention pretty exhausting. Also lost nutrition assistance a few months ago.

I may be able to do part time work. If you are willing to share, how do you make any income with ME/CFS? With different levels of severity, options vary. I just thought I might get some new ideas. I am moderate ME/CFS, but doing a little better this past month or so.

I already feel extremely trapped/stuck with ME/CFS, but having no money limits options even more. It all feels literally impossible, like there is no path forward to me, and I've been desperate for change for so long. The pressure keeps building and I feel like I may have to do something drastic. Maybe someone will have a good idea I haven't thought of.
