Zoey is in remission!
Posting this here in hopes it gives someone a little hope! My girl was diagnosed in June of last year. She spent 15 months on Bexacat and did very well until about March when she started having terrible UTI’s. After our 6th or so trip to the ER (I lost count), my vet and I decided to do a curve with a pet calibrated continuous glucose monitor to see where her numbers were in real time and gauge appropriate insulin doses. Much to everyone’s surprise, her numbers were right in line with a non diabetic cat! Like most vets, mine was under the strict impress cats on SGLT inhibitors do not go into remission. Zoey is the (grumpy) living proof they do! Pic of her in her medical shirt following placement of her sensor for cat tax. 😼😹
