This has been discussed in this subreddit before, I just had the thought recently and started to do some digging.
Many people have come to the same conclusion/speculation/headcannon.
I will link a post I came across but I’m interested to see some takes from others.
Edit: This seems to be misinterpreted by quite a few people as Warhammer versus red rising or red rising taking place at the same time as 40k whereas I am hypothesizing if red rising happened 30,000+ years before Warhammer in the same universe.
