Hey everyone, I live in the UK on a tier 2 sponsorship visa and I hold an Indian passport. I also have a b1/b2 USA visa that I’ve used once.

I applied for tourism eVisa yesterday using my USA visa as evidence and got rejected.

I’m thinking it’s possibly one of these two reasons:

1. When I finished filling the form, at the end it had categorised the USA visa under “Schengen visa holder” but I thought it might just be an umbrella term for all such visa holders

2. My first name on the passport is 16 characters long (it’s two words with a space in between) and the field on the portal has a 15 character limit. So I used the first word of my name as first name and put the second word in the middle name field.

Are these valid reasons for my visa being rejected ?

PS: I am planning to reapply now with UK tier 2 visa, let’s see how that goes. (The field where it asks for visa number and proof of residency , do I upload screenshot of my evisa from ukvi, and share code in the visa number field? Or is there something else?)
