Swimming volume

How many days a week should someone be getting in the pool and what should those sessions look like? I’ve heard some people say 6 days a week, and others say 2-3.

Rucking

I got a few questions about rucking that I hope someone can help me with.

What are some reliable and affordable rucks for selection prep?

How often should I ruck (training for Pararescue)?

Realistically how long would it take someone with 0 ruck experience to be selection ready?

( I already have above standard strength/calisthenics numbers and run times, working on my swimming).

Age

Would attending selection right hit after high school be unwise? I’m 17 right now and would probably be around 19-20 when attending selection (if I choose to enlist right after my senior summer). I’ve heard anecdotes saying that attending any type of selection at a younger age is a bad idea, is this true, if so why? I’m assuming it has to do if maturity.

Running volume

Hey yall, I’m a little confused on what my total weekly running volume should be when training for para-rescue. When doing research, I’ve heard answers ranging from 3x a week and a total mileage of 20 miles, to 6x a week and 40+ miles.
Can somebody clarify to me how much running I should be doing, or if I should base it of my run times.

For context I run a 9:15 min 1.5 mile.
