My parents have Planet Networks service in Vernon, NJ. I recently installed a Unifi Dream Router 7 on their network (so I can remotely manage it). The router says IPv6 is available. I turned on DHCPv6 on the WAN side but nothing is happening. The router is seeing an IPv6 router advertisement (says it's a /64 but the prefix given looks like a /48). Do we need to contact Planet Networks to enable IPv6? Does Planet Networks use SLAAC or another method for IPv6? Is Planet Networks working towards IPv6 but not there yet?

It looks like Dynv6 is having problems. I can get to the management website at https://dynv6.com but cannot resolve my DDNS domain under dynv6.net. Even dynv6.net itself does not resolve (I get NXDOMAIN). Have observed this for about a week. To eliminate local problems, I also found the same behavior from DNS query websites. Anyone else found the same thing?

May be time to try another DDNS provider.

I recently (manually via SSH) updated to UnifiOS 5.1.11 on my Unifi Dream Router 7 and found an issue with DNS queries and the (built-in) CyberSecure Content Filtering. I get SERVFAIL returned when I do a DNS query to the local IPv6 address (i.e., 2xxx::1) and Content Filtering is enabled (Ad Block and/or categories). Doing a DNS query to the local IPv4 address (i.e., 192.168.1.1) works fine. Disable Content Filtering and everything works fine.

Seems to be a problem with coredns (config or software itself). If I SSH into the router and do a query to UDP port 1053 on ::1 or 2001:db8:1000::1, I get the same error.

Anyone else observe this?
