My Coleus Hates Me, Help!

Hi, I am fairly new to having plants but ever since my friend gifted me a ficus elastica ruby (and it's been thriving!) I was encouraged that maybe I don't have a black thumb after all! That is until I got this beautiful coleus who absolutely hates me. When I first got her, she was lush and very leafy! She was outdoors and shaded in Texas sun. I don't have any shaded areas on my patio so I decided she was going to be an indoor plant. (I also liked the look of her inside) Brought her in, changed her very root bound soil, sprayed her with insecticide and neem oil mixture and got her a grow light so she was happy. She started losing leaves very quickly, most of which were shriveled up, and became very leggy. My goal with her is to get her back to her very leafy state. Should I prune her to the base and cut all of the leggy parts off to "start over"? Please help. I already pruned some and propagated those cuttings which are thriving in soil right now. I scratched a little of her brown stem and it is green underneath meaning it is still alive, right? This plant is causing me stress when I look at her and just want to see her leafy, red, and thriving again.
