I will spend the whole summer thinking of Bogo and Kasparas pick and rolls

Hello everyone. Happy giannis trade offseason.

I'm going to be honest. I am a Bogo believer. His attitude this summer and how he filled out his frame in one year move me. I want this kid to succeed so much.

I saw yesterday's game and while I'm not going to overreact to summer league, Bogo seems like a real roll threat. His willingness to set picks and his post touch seem great. He has also shown flashes of great footwork and has great passing vision. He is also willing to shoot it and his form is not bad. Offensively, he has real upside.

On defense he needs some help but I hope Taylor Jenkins and better coaching can help him with that.

Kasparas Jakucionis is said to be a PnR maestro. Heat fans didn't want to give him up and he is also just 20 years old. Consider me intrigued.

I'm not great at math, but a great PnR roller and a great PnR guard might be a great duo.

I'm also excited about Rollins, Burries, Ware and Ament.

Kevin Porter Jr vs AJ Green

I've been thinking about who should join Rollins in the backcourt next year.

We can all agree there’s probably no way all 3 are starters on a competent team. So who gets benched, or does KPJ even return?

Green is the more traditional SG and would probably play his role well as a starting SG. He feels like the type of player that would thrive under an actual system with Jenkins. The team stats over the last 2 seasons have been great with Green compared to without him. He’s also under contract for the next 4 years on a solid deal.

KPJ still showed flashes though, despite the injuries. I feel like there’s still untapped potential there, and Doc never really got close to figuring out what KPJ and Rollins could be as a duo. Maybe Jenkins can unlock that.

Obviously, a lot of scenarios could play out that would make the answer more obvious. There’s still the elephant sized question around Giannis and what a possible return package could look like. Maybe we end up getting a player that would clearly start over both Green and KPJ.

The Bucks can commit to KPJ, sign-and-trade him (I think), or just let him walk. There are also a lot of guard prospects around pick 10, but are any of them actually giving you the production KPJ can give you right now?

So many questions and so many different ways this offseason could play out. Hopefully we end up with a competent team that’s actually fun to watch again, because honestly that’s all I’m hoping for next year.

Offseason post over.

It sure seems that Kuz might stay a Buck next season and I absolutely don't mind it.

Kuz was in Greece for a euroleague game and Giannis happened to be in the same game which led to them meeting here.

I will post the video of them meeting in another post which I will link here.
