working on my save the dates!!
i've spent the past couple weeks driving around to every antique store in a 50 mile radius (and then some) collecting local vintage postcards to use as my save the dates, and just spent this afternoon stamping them all! i used a Very Old letterpress stamp kit i found at an estate sale last year, and i am very happy with them :-)
i'm definitely going for a soft/worn-in/handmade/thrifted feel across the whole wedding (wearing my grandma's old wedding dress, handsewing patchwork drapes, pre-melting tapered candles to get cool textural wax drips, etc), so these definitely fit the vibe, even if they are a little silly/unconventional/imperfect. i will also be putting them in thrifted envelopes that i am drawing little doves carrying love notes on hehe (almost done with this too!), so that they are protected in the mail!
handmaking everything has honestly been way more relaxing and less time-consuming than i thought it would be! though it definitely helps that i am not at all a perfectionist and was already in the midst of an all-fifty-seasons survivor rewatch hehehe
