Hey! Am an international student, studying in Toronto for the next couple years. My partner is coming down to visit me for a couple of weeks in December.

We're mainly planning to be in Toronto but wanted to do a weekend trip of sorts - and were wondering whether Montreal is a good idea? Neither of us have ever experienced snow / winter, and were hoping to get that classic cozy Christmas vibe. Would Montreal be a good option - with maybe a day trip or two down to QC? Or would it be too cold / miserable?

Any recommendations for winter activities / events / food in these places would be much appreciated as well :)
