I love novel but I don’t like them as couple.
I feel like they both are very deep characters with a complex backstory(Taekjoo’s backstory is completely ignored by readers and I hate it bc it’s give you an answer to almost everything about him-the way he handles things, why he decided to go work in such risky organisation, his character etc) but I hate them as couple. I’m probably the only person out there. And not bc “Taekjoo deserved better, Zhenya is psycho, it’s isn’t love” and more more more. In fact I feel like Zhenya deserved more. I feel like it’s would be very interesting plot point for him to learn love, human emotions, realised that background him and Taekjoo had is just too much for any couple to carry and leave him alone for once and all. I feel like it’s something he probably would do bc it’s said that he wasn’t trying to reach Taekjoo after Taekjoo left in Island and rightfully started hate. A realistic and inspiring ending for both of them-Taekjoo leaving all the dark he had on his life and starting a new peaceful one without the shades of dark past and Zhenya realising for once that some things meant to end and he needs to navigate his life without Taekjoo, maybe once he realised the good part of normal life as well, trying to live like a normal human being lol or even also finding someone else and treat that person better than he did Taekjoo. Both deserved happiness but separately. I feel like Zhenya would leave Taekjoo behind and let him leave in peace if Taekjoo never fly back to Ajinoki. Idk why authors likes to revisiting old toxic couples(*Wet Sand* tho)
