Wore this outfit yesterday and got a few negative comments about the headband... Is it really that bad?

I felt super confident when I left the house yesterday. I actually thought the white headband was a cute touch to tie the whole look together with the pants and the bag, but a couple of people made some passive-aggressive comments about it

Now I'm totally second-guessing the whole outfit. Be completely honest with me, does the headband actually ruin the look, or were they just hating? If you think it doesn't work, how else should I style my hair with this fit?

Beach wedding in Miami: Classic formal or bright and colorful?

Hey everyone! I’m 23 and I’m attending a wedding on a beach in Miami next month.

The dress code listed on the invitation is "Beach Formal"

Since it’s literally on the sand in Miami, I’m so torn on the vibe. Part of me wants to go for a classic, elegant neutral/pastel formal dress, but the other part wants to lean into the Miami energy and wear something super bright and colorful (like a vibrant sunset or tropical shade).

For a beach setting, do people usually prefer seeing classic wedding guest attire, or is it better to match the colorful, fun beach vibe? I want to look respectful of the dress code but also fit the location. What do you think? Thank you!

What’s your ultimate trick to stop skin prep from pilling under water-based vs. silicone foundations?

Hey everyone! I’m a 23yo freelance makeup artist and I swear the hardest part of the job lately is client skin prep.

Even when I strictly match water-based primers with water-based foundations (and same for silicone), some clients' skincare still starts pilling the moment I buff the base in. I always tell them to come with a clean face, but sometimes their morning serums just ruin the texture.

What is your go-to, foolproof product combo or technique to ensure a flawless, smooth application every single time? Do you wipe their skincare off completely or just layer a specific heavy-duty moisturizer? Let's talk!

PRO Makeup Artists: Cream vs. Powder contour/blush for bridal makeup in high humidity?

Hey everyone! I’m a 23yo makeup artist and I have a few outdoor summer weddings coming up in super humid weather.

I usually swear by layering creams then sealing with powder, but lately, I’ve been debating switching entirely to a powder-only routine for the skin base to prevent any slipping. What’s your ultimate holy grail technique or combo to make the complexion bulletproof without looking cakey under professional cameras? Would love to hear your thoughts!
