Currently rereading mockingjay. I first read it when I was maybe 14? So over a decade ago.
I’ve just gotten to the part where Katniss finds her prep team shackled to the wall in district 13. When I tell you my mouth dropped wide open.
And the fact that there is a whole floor with red doors like the one they’re behind, who else are they keeping down there?

In the film, I felt shocked when Katniss fired her arrow at Coin. (I was a teenager so missed a lot of implications throughout the film). But I think it’s key moments like this in the book are absolutely crucial to understanding why Katniss chose to shoot Coin and not Snow.

Rereading as an adult is honestly better than reading these the first time, I’m having so much fun.
