9th Day

Here he is. Eating on his own for the first time a mix of wet food and goat milk. I think he loved it. He ate almost everything. He is so active now. Climbing and running... I am so proud of him. This week I will try to bring him to the Vet. His eye infection is basically cleared out and he looks soo different from when he arrived home.

Update - Day 5

Although my parents haven't been able to bring him to the Vet one friend of the family is a vet and has been helping us with the recovery process and how to get rid of the infection. She recommended to use Terramycin to fight the infection. Another friend (a nurse) has been helping us to apply it on its eyes (3rd photo). The kitten has gotten much better after the second day and he is starting to:

- Climb the sofa

- Jump down from the sofa

He has also gotten more vocal and loves (demands) to be picked up. He is not out of risk and he still needs a full vet check, but for what we have available we are doing our best. Maybe it is time to start weaning him and introduce him to wet food? We estimate him at his 4th week (4-5 weeks old) so he might be old enough, but I have zero experience and I feel bad for bothering our friend with too many questions.

He has become adorable.

Kitten behaviour

Because I had to travel a few days he is staying with my parents. He only comes out of his den (the transport cage) to eat-as much as he pleases (until he pushes away the bottle or my dad feels that he has eaten enough)-or to use the sandbox. After he finishes he climbs to the armrest of the sofa, makes his chirp sound for and either curls and falls asleep, or runs back to his den and goes to sleep.

Is he ok? He isn't playing as much as before, and he seems to be down... like sad:(

Day 4

He is eating a lot! Now he is in prison for the crime of trying to eat too much. I am only concerned that he hasn't poop since yesterday and it was just two beans. He is playing and following me everywhere. However, this week I have to travel for 5 days... I hope he doesnt forget me.

Update It went pooping. Very little poop. I guess it is normal for kittes this age. He goes on his own which is a relief.

Day 3

Today this little guy is showing more energy... he bites haaard. He is also starting to eat way more than before 10-15 ml per feeding. He is starting to play more and groom himself. He is very clingy to me and he purrs when he is next to me. It is... adorable.

I am still sad because of the little white cat departure. But I keep strong to help this little one. Soon he is going to be strong enough to get all the meds and vaccines.

Update...

I tried everything... but there was no vet available. It was very weak and it gave its all to protect and clean his foster brother. But this little cat... fuck... I cant even write properly... it died in my hands. I tried to keep him warm, I tried to feed him, honey... everything... it couldn't make it... fuck... fuck... help...

After two days of care...

After 48 hours of care. They are eating, shitting and playing... I gave them a bath, dried them, fed them, combed their fur... and now they just like to play and sleep. They are back to be kittens. They still have the eye and sinus infection, but they look much better now.

Found them abbandoned in A Rua, Spain

Hi I am in Spain right now visiting my parents and I found these kittens in the streets. The while one was full of fleas and with conjunctivitis. The other one was abbandoned by someone by the road. They are I think 3-5 weeks old. After taking care of them for a day the white guy has become very active, eating a lot... I feed them a mix of baby food with goat's milk. The bigger guy loves it... but the smaller one it is a problem for me to feed him. He doesnt want to eat, so I am just dropping him 1-2 ml of the mix in his mouth and he licks it and goes back to his foster brother. I dont know what to do, first time I have a kitten, first time I try to rescue cats at all. I don't know if I can afford the Vet but I will try bring them there tomorrow if someone can bring me there (the nearest Vet is 20 km away and I cant bring them by public transportation).

What I have noticed is that because the white one is getting much stronger with each meal, he is licking the stuff out of his foster brother. I hope he doesnt get more sick because of that. Now when I try to separate them they cry:(

What can I do? The white guy has much better chances of survival, but I would like to save both. I am in A Rua, Spain. If someone can help me or guide me on how to take care of their infection, I really appreciate it. Thank you.
