For 20+ years I have been a Windows user and using Winamp (with cPro Bento skin, which is quite modern, but not too Winampy - if you know what I mean with crazy colours etc). I have a carefully and over 20 years curated music collection of 4000+ songs.

Now I have joined the Mac family and was googling the best alternatives for such player for my MBPro, cause Apple Music is just too big, and bloated - I need a great player, crossfade functionality and just see the playlist.

I see nullplayer offers that! As I am a newbie to Mac and usually install the apps just by dragging them to the Apps folder, can nullplayer be installed the same way? Unfortunately I got a bit lost in github.

Apologize for the stupid question but very excited to try this out and move my collection to my Mac!

Hi guys (and ladies as well)!

So at the moment I am planning a trip to Hong Kong and purchasing new laptop while I am there. At the moment I am in crosshairs whether to go with Air or Pro (large sizes). 16 inch Pro is available starting with M5 Pro, however 15 inch Air with M5.

The main tasks I would do with the computer is photo editing in Lightroom and Photoshop (sometimes galleries in hundreds of photos). Right now I have Macbook Air (with M1) and it already struggles with larger galleries on Lightroom. It has been a beast though all of these years, but it's time to upgrade to something bigger and faster.

Would M5 Pro would be overkill in this case or do you think M5 (and Air) would be acceptable for my needs? In all cases I would get more RAM config so computer is a bit more futureproof.

What would you suggest? Thanks!

Have relocated to Bahrain and company has also issued me with transporting allowance meaning I am able to rent a car while living and working here. What would be your recommendations? Any companies who does that? I found Selfdrive but there are conflicting reports (also here, in this subreddit). All the Sixt / Avis etc. seem like more focussed on short term rentals for visitors.

Not looking for anything superfancy, but normal car with working AC, Carplay, and all the insurances etc. included in the price if something happens.
