My Friend’s Custom Katana

This is my friend's practice katana. It's a modern production blade, either Korean or Chinese, but the beauty of the hamon inspired him to customize it using traditional Japanese techniques. He crafted the entire koshirae and performed the togi (polishing). Essentially, everything except the bare blade and the saya is his custom work. The theme of the tosogu is "The Path to the Temple"

Bass jouhikko with wound gut string

I decided to run an experiment on this bass Jouhikko with gut strings.
The third string was a bit too thin for its intended note, so I decided to wind it with 0.2 mm silver-plated copper wire. The result is a gut-core string with a copper winding. I have to tell you, the experiment was a huge success! The string now sounds incredibly cool, powerful, and holds its pitch perfectly. I'm really happy with how well and high-quality it turned out.

My first handmade harp

I’d like to share the sound of a Celtic harp I built a few years ago. This was the first full-sized harp someone ordered from me, and back then, it was a real test of my craftsmanship—one that I’m proud to say I passed.

The body is made entirely of maple, with a spruce soundboard, finished in shellac, and features a custom hand-painted design requested by the client. Right now, I have another Renaissance harp in the works in my workshop!
