I am stationed OCONUS in incrilk. I put in for leave to go home (CONUS) in July. I am flying out of instanbul to Dallas tx. I do not have a passport. Would I be able to go home with just my CAC, Orders, and AF form 988 (approved leave). Or has someone done this before that could help.
I’m trying to take leave stateside to visit my family. I am currently overseas and have been here for almost a year now. I have my orders but they are from when I arrived last August. I don’t have a passport and the place that does them is not actively doing them. Will I be able to still take leave and come back using my orders to get through TSA? Or can I get an updated version through my mpf before I leave. Once I come back to the states I am going to try and get a passport while I am here just wanted to have a back up plan.
