Newbie to CS and electrical engineering here, inspired by some of you incredibly talented people. I want to build a cyberdeck for producing electronic music. I have looked into a lot of things that I will need.
But what I WANT to do is salvage some components from an old Akai MPD midi controller that has been sitting in my garage for five years. Does anyone have experience taking one of these apart? What might I need to connect pads and sliders from it to a raspberry pi? or is this a lost cause?
I am going to be using a beautiful silverware case as the body of the cyberdeck, it will be a little larger than most of the ones I have seen on this sub, I might even have room to drop this whole akai board into the bottom drawer.
