Hi Friends!

Well, I finally did it!!!! I finished all the stitching for my WIP! 🎉 I had a spot I messed up on very early in the piece, so had to go back and frog a bit to fix it. I also missed a couple of stitches in the sky and fixed those right up. 🥰

Now it's on to the dreaded backstitching. I'm not a huge fan, but at least with this piece, it's not overly complicated. I'm anxious to move on to my other WIPs. I also still have Amsterdam to start. I'll put it into rotation soon. 😊

I hope everyone has had a great start to October! The heat wave in SoCal finally broke on Friday, but now we're contending with a high tide event, rain, and a tropical storm. What the heck. I'd love some normalcy with our fall weather for once! 🥵

Happy October! 🎃👻🪾🍁🍂 My birthday was yesterday, but it was so hot here in SoCal, I didn't go out. It was 103°! Definitely not the fall weather I pine for. We're going to be stuck with this nasty heat wave for the whole week. 🥵 Please send cooling juju our way. Hopefully, it'll start cooling down sooner than later.

I'm getting into the last bits of my WIP! 🎉 Color after color zeros out on my PatternKeeper and it's so satisfying! LOL I think I'll hit 100% sometime this week. Then, it's on to the backstitching. Fun. LOL Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 97.23% complete. 🇩🇰

I hope you all had a fabulous week! I've been slowly chipping away at my Copenhagen project, as well as working on a gift for my best friend. I need to finish hers because her birthday's coming up. So much pressure! I got more of the water reflections done this week. Yay! The second boat is still hiding from me. LOL

Happy Sunday! I hope you all had a great week, with lots of quality stitching time. I managed to squeeze in some stitching on my Copenhagen WIP. It's getting to the point where I'm anxious to finish this and start on something new. LOL I've got the new project itch. 🤣 I can't start a new one yet, though. I've got 4 others waiting that I've started. 🤦‍♀️

Anywho. Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 82.84% complete. I finally reached the bottom left side! Woo! 🇩🇰 And the first boat is done. ⛴️

I hope last week went well! It was National Cross-stitch Day on Friday. How fun! 😊 I was able to stitch a good amount this week, even though I started back up with school. Not as much as I wanted, but it'll do.

I realized that I gridded 4 extra rows on my Copenhagen WIP. Oops. It must've happened when I orientated my fabric the wrong way. I thought I had a lot more to stitch than I actually do! Ha ha!

Happy Sunday! 🥰 I start back up with my job tomorro, so I'll be a busy little worker for the next few weeks. The start of the school year always makes me anxious, even though I love my job. I've been having lots of dreams about school prep and not being ready. Even though I'm not a classroom teacher anymore, I still have the dreams! LOL

I rocketed past 75% without even noticing! 🎉 Funny how fast stitching can go when I'm stitching larger sections of color. 😊 Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 77.40% complete.

I finally, finally finished the big ol' tree and houses! Woooo! 🎉 I spent a good portion of this week gridding fabric for my new elephant project, so if I hadn't done that, I might have finished the section and been able to move on to the bottom. Oh well! Happy Sunday! Last week, I started on my giant elephant piece, but after stitching about 1,000 stitches, I realized it would be too massive in its current form. I was stitching this behemoth on 20ct Aida, sideways on my scroll frame. It wouldn't fit otherwise. I just wasn't happy with it, so I did so more research and decided to scrap it and start over on 28ct evenweave.

Anywho. I managed to reach over 70% on my Copenhagen WIP, which I'm happy about! 😊 Pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 70.76% complete. 🇩🇰

Hi everyone! I hope everyone has had a great week and that the worst of the heat wave that's hit many parts of the world has finally broken. I thought I'd support by posting the weekly thread for Doubledewclaws. I hope she's well!

I went on a vacation with my family and took my stitching with me. I made some progress, but of course, lighting in hotel rooms isn't optimal, so of course I noticed a few stitches I'll have to fix. LOL

Anyway... please share what you've been working on! My pattern is Copenhagen by Luca-S, 68.27% complete.

I finally figured out a setup that works for me! I have a quilted project bag with a mini zipper bag and thread catcher that helps keep everything together. It was really pleasant. I got so into my WIP that I don't hear the announcement to prepare for landing. Oops!
