Earlier this year, former GCSE maths teacher Romesh Ranganathan presented Hannah with a very special 24V tesla coil bluetooth speaker which later ended up on Nikola Tesla Fell In Love With A Pigeon episode. What I found most interesting was finding Hannah’s baseline body language when it came to her left hand to the heart gasp.

In my opinion, her genuine expression of gasping is falling/reclining backwards with eyes locked on the object or a person. Regrettably when it came to Hannah’s traitor jaw drop recruitment scene, it was just for the memes (and BAFTA). She ended up staring straight into the camera and did the left hand to the heart falling forwards.

In a recent Field Notes episode, Michael demonstrated a special clapping technique. I determined through video analysis that Michael clapped 41 times within 3.44s (86 frames at 25FPS for PAL) that would extrapolate to 715 claps in 60 seconds. Unfortunately, trying to matching the audio claps proved to be far more difficult due to an apparent 0.16s external audio recording delay. Michael would complete his clapping visually, but there would be two more clapping sounds 4 frames later.

Try measuring for yourself and set the YouTube playback speed to 0.25X (in the settings gear icon), and let everyone know how many claps you were able to count!
