Snow Lake trail, early morning to avoid crowds as much as possible. It was packed today, which wasn't unexpected. Beautiful and it cleared up!

For the Seattleites and surrounding area dwellers, did you know there used to be a ski area just northeast of Everett on Mt PIlchuck? The remains of the lift(s) can still be seen on the Mt Pilchuck trail.

Snow falling from the sky on a chilly day in late June 2026 near Ingalls Lake, Central Washington State. The winter snow is well into melting and most of the trail is clear of it. No mountain goats were seen.

Dosewallips Beach observation deck looking east at sunset. Tides out and no birds. There were some hunters nearby so maybe that was it. Washington State.
