I think we’re using AI wrong as developers

I’ve been thinking a lot about how we use AI when programming. It can make us faster, but I’m starting to wonder if relying on it too much is actually making us worse developers.
Here are some thoughts based on my own experience using AI while learning and building projects.

I built MVNEX — an open-source CLI for a better Maven developer experience

I’ve been working on MVNEX, an open-source CLI that aims to make working with Maven projects simpler and less repetitive.
The idea is pretty simple: keep everything compatible with standard Maven while providing a nicer developer experience for common workflows.
For example, instead of going through the usual project setup, you can start with:
mvnex init my-project
It’s still very early, and that’s actually why I’m sharing it now. I’d love to get feedback from other Java/Maven developers, hear what features would actually be useful, and hopefully find people interested in contributing.
MVNEX is completely open source and PRs are very welcome. 🚀
