What work do you do?

Hello friends in Fujairah 👋🏼 I’m not from the emirate but from Dubai and the 4 times I’ve been to Fujairah over the last three years, I am convinced that I should live there - I love everything about it including what looks like a slower pace of life.

For those of you who do live there (non-locals), did you originally move there or was it after being in Dubai, AD / Sharjah? And if it’s not too intrusive - what sort of work do you do? I do work freelance but some of my work is tied to being in the city so just curious to find out.

Is anyone else also hearing a barrage of sirens in Barsha that has been going on for the past 20 mins or so? It sounds like all emergency vehicles.

TLDR: Incorrect parking fines can be disputed - you just need to be patient.

Hello, friends! Been wanting to share this since December lol but here we are. Just wanted to let you know that I was fined wrongly after having paid for parking - the guy literally zapped the device thing 5 minutes after I had paid for it, I couldn't speak to him to rectify it then because I was rushing. But the receipts clearly stated that I paid for parking at 16:15 and the fine had come in at 16:23 something. I took screenshots of everything and disputed the fine from my sister's phone - as the car is under her name. Important to know, in case you didn't that fines can only be disputed from the owner's app. And we waited "patiently" for exactly 14 business days. This was in between National Day holidays so it was closer to 3 weeks but like clockwork on the 14th business day, the dispute was resolved and the fine was removed.

I had also read in a different forum that it's possible to go to one of the happiness centres - but cannot speak more on that at this moment.
