My advice would be to always pay all your credit cards every Friday

Since I started doing this years ago, I was able to track better how much I spent per week. It's also a good strategy from my point of view since you can know in advance if you're spending too much and chill for the next/following week(s).

G90 M5 Audio Issue - Zero Bass / Only Tweeters Playing (Subwoofers Dead?)

Hey everyone,

Hoping to see if any other new G90 M5 owners (or anyone with the newer iDrive 8.5/9 setups) have run into this.

My G90 M5 sat for a little bit recently and threw a low 12V battery message when I first got back in. Since then, the audio system has absolutely zero bass. It sounds completely hollow and tinny. like only the door tweeters and high/mid frequencies are firing, and the under-seat subs are completely dead.

I’ve tried switching between Spotify (Android Auto), SiriusXM, and standard AM/FM, but the lack of bass is constant across all sources.

Before dropping it off at the dealership, I’ve already attempted the usual troubleshooting:

- Reset the multimedia system (holding down the volume/power scroll wheel).

- Reset all audio/equalizer settings to default.

- The "Deep Sleep" cycle (locked the car, walked away with the key for 45+ mins to let the modules completely power down).

- Charged the car overnight on the wall charger (the 12V battery message is gone and fully topped off now).

Despite the 12V system being healthy again, the subs are still completely non-responsive. From what I understand of the RAM (Receiver Audio Module) and Booster setup in these newer chassis, it feels like the secondary amplifier module failed to wake up or completely lost its handshake with the main system during the low-voltage event.

I actually have an appointment at the dealership tomorrow morning to get it looked at, but I wanted to check here first to see if anyone else is actively dealing with this issue or has seen a service bulletin on it. Did it require a physical hardware replacement of the Booster amp, or is there a deep service-menu reset I'm missing?

Appreciate any insight!
