TL;DR: My Sony KE-65XH9077 (XH90 / X90H series, 2020 model, bought 2021), running Android TV 12, seems to put its wired Ethernet port into a bad state that hangs my router's Ethernet switch and takes down my entire home network (LAN and internet). Unplugging the TV or switching it to Wi-Fi fixes it 100%. Looking to confirm others see this, and whether there's a setting on the TV to prevent it.

Setup:

• Sony KE-65XH9077, Android TV 12.
• Connected by cable to an OpenWrt router (GL.iNet Flint 2, MediaTek MT6000 SoC).
• The TV's Ethernet port negotiates at only 100 Mbps, never gigabit.

Symptom (reproduced deterministically):

• Whenever the TV is plugged into the router by Ethernet, the router's kernel starts logging mtk_soc_eth ... NETDEV WATCHDOG: transmit queue timed out within ~30-40 seconds. That's the router's Ethernet transmit queue hanging.
• Because the switch and WAN share one engine on this chip, it kills both my LAN and my internet at the same time.
• It happens on any router port, and crucially even when the TV is "off" (standby) - the NIC stays linked.
• Unplug the TV (or put it on Wi-Fi) -> the router is instantly rock solid again. Confirmed across many reboots and two different cables, so it's not a cable.

My guess is it's an EEE / Energy-Efficient-Ethernet (green ethernet) low-power link behavior on the TV that some switches don't tolerate.

Questions:

1. Has anyone else had a Sony Bravia (especially the XH90/X90H) cause router/switch instability or network dropouts over wired Ethernet (especially with switches sensitive to EEE)?
2. Is there any setting (or service menu option) on these TVs to:
   • disable EEE / Energy Efficient Ethernet / green ethernet,
   • force/limit the link speed, or disable the low-power 100 Mbps mode,
   • disable networked standby / "Remote start" / cast-while-off so the Ethernet actually powers down when the TV is off?
3. Is 100 Mbps a hardware limit on the XH90/X90H, or should it do gigabit? (Mine never links above 100.)
4. Did any firmware update change/fix Ethernet behavior on this model?
