Choosing from 2-3 (Entry level Gravel Bikes)

So, after much more research and trying out the bikes, I've decided to go with gravel bikes instead of endurance road bikes. There are a lot of gravel trails around my neighborhood and I plan to buy a proper road bike with much more upgrades once I become more used to riding on the road.

So, I've narrowed down my choices to two (technically 3) bikes. The gravel in my neighborhood is pretty hard, so I judged 40mm tyres are sufficient, and I'm 189 cm tall with a 84 cm inseam (I didn't know my torso was this damn long lol), so I need XL size & fit very well on em. I also just want 1x for the simplicity!

I tried out the Decathlon GRVL AF Sword ($1,500 CAD) and Cube Nuroad Pro ($2,000), which both felt great to ride. I was also considering the Nuroad EX ($2,500), because people were saying the GRX groupset is really good. Considering this is my entry bike (never even ridden a drop bar bike), which one would you choose, assuming I would move on to a better bike in a few years?

Recommendation for Bike Type

Hello, I've been wanting to get into cycling, but before I buy a bike, I wanted to know whether an endurance road bike or a gravel bike would be ideal for me.

I mostly want to use the bike for commuting and riding long distances when I have the time. I'm not very confident cycling on the road, so I was planning on riding in areas where there are barely any cars or just none at all. I live in South Surrey, but wouldn't mind driving out to different areas to ride there.

I also heard there is a lot of gravel in such areas, so I was wondering whether I should get an endurance bike with more tire clearance, or just a gravel bike.

Thanks!

Endurance CF 5 vs. CF 7

Hello, I'm looking to buy my first road bike, and after looking through a bunch of bike brands, it seemed like Canyon was the best bang for buck.

I've been looking at the cheapest option with carbon frames because I was told they would be more comfortable since I have a lumbar disc herniation. However, I'm not exactly certain what makes the CF 7 better than the CF 5 because I'm not a cyclist.

I heard the Shimano 105 is better than the CUES, but from what I've seen, it wouldn't make a huge difference for someone like me who just wants to ride in comfort. There are also the carbon tires on the CF 7 compared to the aluminum tires on the CF 5, but I don't know what that does in terms of comfort.

Is there a reason to pay the extra $700~800 CAD for the CF 7, or is the CF 5 good enough for my purposes (commuting, long rides, getting good enough to one day join groups)
