ChartCN update: 13 charts now, and What I learned about getting found on Google

Chartcn-video

Hey all,

I posted ChartCN here a while back (the thing where you paste data and get a shadcn chart component you can copy)

>PS: We got good response from the community, so I though why should I just keep moving?

Just shipped v0.5.0, so here's a quick update plus an SEO lesson that might help anyone building for this ecosystem.

What's new:

  • 5 new charts: waterfall, heatmap, horizontal bar, KPI sparkline, and interactive area with a range filter. 13 total now
  • Paste JSON, TSV or markdown tables, not just CSV
  • Export charts as PNG or SVG
  • Generated code now uses your own column names as data keys. If you copied a component before, re-copy it

The problem:

The tool worked, but nobody was finding it. After three months the page had 86 impressions on Google, at around position 24. Page three, basically invisible.

The reason was obvious once I looked. It was one page trying to rank for everything. Nobody googles "chart generator". People search "shadcn bar chart" or "shadcn pie chart", and I had no page for any of those.

What I changed:

  • One page per chart type, 13 in total
  • Each page covers when to use the chart, what your data should look like, install steps, and a few FAQs
  • Every chart page links to 3 related charts, so they all point at each other
  • Google now sees the actual tool when it crawls, not an empty page that only loads in the browser
  • Sitemap dates only change when a page actually changes, not on every deploy
  • SEO rules are now tests. Title too long, two pages with the same title, missing FAQs: the tests fail. Way better than remembering it all myself

Where it's at:

It's only been a couple of days, so no results yet. It might not work at all. I'll come back in a few weeks and share the real numbers either way.

The lesson:

Don't spend months on the product and zero time on how anyone will find it. Check what people actually search for, then make sure you have a page for that exact search.

I Built a free tool that turns a CSV into a ready-to-use shadcn/ui chart component (open source)

Needed charts in a React app, got tired of pulling in a charting lib that never matched the rest of the UI. Built ChartCN instead.

Paste a CSV, preview it, copy a self-contained TSX component built on shadcn/ui's chart primitives + Recharts. No new dependency if you're already on shadcn/ui.

- 8 chart types: Bar, Line, Area, Combo, Pie/Donut, Radar, Scatter, Radial/Gauge
- Paste, upload, or edit data inline; auto date-axis formatting
- Export as inline data or as a data prop for live/fetched data
- Shareable links, locally saved charts, no account
- Free, MIT licensed

Phase 1, CLI and more chart types coming next.

Feedback and feature requests welcome.

My free shadcn SaaS landing page template just hit 50+ GitHub stars, and never expected this

Honestly didn't see this coming

https://preview.redd.it/rqf2sbrxupkh1.png?width=5000&format=png&auto=webp&s=cfd8f583935c03e98d7f9dc1c248bb9bccf25b96

I built ChatDeck a while back, a free open source SaaS landing page template built with Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and shadcn/ui. No paid tier, no restrictions, MIT licensed. Just a clean starting point so you don't have to spend a week building a landing page from scratch every time.

Put it out quietly and kind of forgot about it. Then I checked GitHub and saw it crossed 50+ stars. Small number maybe, but genuinely made my day.

What's currently in the template:

  • Hero with shimmer button and animated video dialog
  • Sticky navbar with smooth scroll
  • Logo carousel for social proof
  • Feature grid with hover animations
  • Team section with social links
  • Auto scrolling testimonials marquee
  • Pricing with monthly/yearly toggle
  • Accordion FAQ
  • Footer

Stack is Next.js 16, React 19, Tailwind v4, Motion v12 and shadcn/ui. One thing I haven't talked about much is that it now uses u/base-ui/react with the base-nova style baked in. So if you're already on the Base UI path, this just works out of the box.

Now I want to keep improving it and I'd rather build what people actually need than guess.

Some things I've been thinking about:

  • More section variants like alternate hero layouts, different feature grids
  • An npx CLI to scaffold the whole thing
  • Blog or changelog section
  • Cookie banner and GDPR component
  • Multiple color themes out of the box

But what's missing for you? Drop it in the comments. Any section you always end up rebuilding, any DX thing that bugs you, anything about the structure, I want to hear it.

If it saved you some time, a star always helps others find it. But feedback matters more right now honestly.

Should I continue Or not?

I am learning guitar and its been 3 months i am attending physical classes.

I have learnt the basics, scales, theory of chord library formulas, playing multiple songs on leads and chords.

I have also started playing some songs on chords on my own.

Now I was thinking should i continue the clases and start learning by myself by playing more music or I should just continue following the process?

Is there anything else I need to learn? need guidance.
