KMC Katihar is the worst college to ever exist and I can easily say this cause did my UG here so here is the list of why should this college cease to exist -

1. ⁠⁠The owner is a politician with several past criminal records to his name including homicide.
2. ⁠⁠His second wife (who left her own kids and married him while he was still married to his first wife with whom he had 2 kids) is the Medical Superintendent and also HOD dermatology controls everything and is the most foul person in the entire country. She is extremely disrespectful and rude, calls PG students “naukar” and treats everyone like shit.
3. ⁠⁠Academics suck most of the faculty are only on paper and whoever is there is only on paper PG 1st year students are made to teach who themselves don’t have anyone teaching or guiding them.
4. ⁠⁠Patient flow is mid but there is no point in having patient flow if you only refer patients and don’t actually treat them. Mostly false files are written to show that they are treating patients when in reality most beds are empty.
5. ⁠⁠College has no accountability, several times students and pg’s have been chased and hit by patient party and locals one time stabbed too and instead of standing by the students the college officials made the victim apologise and pay fine.
6. ⁠⁠Several hidden charges like mess fess and amenities separate from hostel fees is taken for no actual reason, they even make you buy books and files that serve no purpose except just to mooch off your money. Also they make you contribute forcefully to sponsor events that serve their purpose since no actual events take place for students.
7. ⁠⁠No care for student safety and health, so the whole college has too many dogs that often attack students and faculty, eat human waste and snatch blood packets.
8. ⁠⁠Madarsa vibes - No campus life exists, girls hostel timings are 6 PM so nobody can leave hostel after that the entire campus shuts down after 6 in the evening also a lot of rules like girls can’t wear western clothing even if it is decent still everyone is forced to wear suits only.
9. ⁠⁠Targeting couples - Constantly failing and debarring students in relationships whether they are UG or PG students.
10. ⁠⁠Illegal Bonds - they make you sign these during admission and force you to either pay crore of rupees or stay and work in the hospital to show they have adequate staff.
11. ⁠⁠Stipend Fraud - So they give only 10,000 in stipend even when NMC has a rule for it and on paper it is 27,000 but they force to students to sign a document stating that they are “willingly donating 17,000 of their stipend every month to the college trust” and they don’t handover your degree unless you compy.
12. ⁠⁠Fake fines and debarring - Several students have attempted “beep” and one PG of Radio few batches ago unalived himself because of the college owners and officials falsely accusing students of this they didn’t do like harassing hospital staff and then they make them pay fines or debar them.
