is it just me or is the medicine kinda weak this season?
okay so i don't actually watch the show from start to finish. my parents do, though, and they would call me to come watch certain plotlines with them, which were very medicine-centric and i found super interesting. (i could be wrong, but i feel like it's leaning much more on the "drama" side of medical drama these days, no?)
anyway, they called me to watch the aaradhana plotline today and i'm so flabbergasted by what's happening. drug toxicity? after TWO days, in an otherwise completely stable patient?? some random "variation" in an ecg, which, by the way, was taken TWO DAYS after admission? "constricted pupils — kannu yevalo ulla poyirkku paaru" that's not what constricted means!!! and she just? sent tandem mass spectrometry???? without even providing a proper indication to her senior consultant?????? ts would never fly, dawg 🥀
so what i'm wondering now is — is it legit? it is actually a toxidrome i've never heard of, or did the writers just completely make this stuff up to make aaradhana look cool? hoping someone can weigh in and provide clarity 🤞
