1901 Rural CenTex Bungalow Backyard Find

Dogs dug this up from about a foot down. Soil is sandy loam with American Elm and Pecan leaf fall yearly. Rudimentary searches lead me to believe this is contemporary with the home.

Any advice on restoration welcome as are and ID tips! Thank you in advance.

Leucophyllum frutescens Going Off (Bastrop Co.)

This was about ten days ago, but too glorious not to share! This bush is at my work and I wait all spring for its to pop for one day. No disappointments here.

It's flanked by a Tropicana rose and Mr. Lincoln rose and the three scents combined are insane. It's a municipal shelter so good smells are more than welcome. Trust, I huff the roses every new bloom, all day long.
