Can you preserve bird wings by soaking in alcohol then borax? Or would that ruin the feathers? Just looking to dry them, thanks!

Advice on rat pelt tanning?
Hi everyone! I skinned a rat and was super happy with how it came out. When I did the salt bath step , the next day the hair was slipping. I left it in there for like 13 hours. Is that too long? I thought it was supposed to help the slippage. I want to do another but I don’t want to mess it up again. Any ideas? Pics before it all went bad

Done degreasing? It’s already been in hydrogen peroxide and still a little wet, can’t tell if it’s just natural staining or grease on tips of the jaws
