Slack invite from Prolific sent to my email. Suspicious?

Hi all. I got an email today inviting me to join Prolific's workspace as a guest on Slack. I am not sure why I would be getting this. I don't recall ever seeing anything about it in any studies I have done. Anyone have an idea what this may be about? Seems suspicious to me.

ID for another tree on my South Carolina, USA property.

Several of these are on my property which is a sandy mixed hardwood pine forest. I should have taken a pic of the whole tree but I didn't think of it at the time. Thanks in advance.

What trees are these? Your of Oak? South Carolina, USA

These trees are found throughout the mixed hardwood and pine forest around my house. They generally have a very skinny silhouette and keep their leaves close to the trunk (if that makes any sense). Many of them have dead limbs towards the bottom pointing down.
