Symbiote Miles concept by @shokuto
This is an old design I put together, like, maybe three years ago. Something people forget about the symbiote costume is that its appeal lied in its streamlined quality rather than conveying something animalistic. I wanted to come up with a neat symbiote design for our favored Spider-Man that carried the spirit of the original while retaining its own uniqueness.
Now, some notes:
- This piece isn’t me playing around with negative space, the suit really doesn’t reflect any light whatsoever.
- The color is more “concentrated” because it requires a firmer hold to properly insulate Miles’ venom energy. Normally it would destabilize the organism. This is also why the spider symbol glows.
- It renders Miles near invisible to tracking technology—it emits zero heat, bears no scent, leaves no residue, and cannot be seen through with an x-ray.
- The danger this symbiote presents isn’t eventually transforming Miles into a giant monster, but a different person altogether. It quietly alters his memories, first into making him believe his costume had always looked that way, then that he’d always had the symbiote, until finally threatens to scramble enough of his memories to something malleable for the symbiote’s agenda.
Starling redesign from 2022-2023 by me
I’ll be frank. I never liked Starling’s design lol. Over the course of a year, I built this redesign from the ground up, seeking to make her correlate with Miles while commanding a striking presence on her own. Her red wings were the most compelling design trait, so I started there. It surprises me that I’ve never posted this here, but hey, no time like the present, right?
