I'm on an upper floor in an apartment building and finally busted out the drum kit, problem is 2 songs in and the neighbor downstairs made it very clear that this building does not have any kind of resistance to the shock of the kick pedal.

What have people done to muffle their kicks? I'd like to be able to play without irritating my neighbors downstairs.
