Denmark Schengen visa – EU family member route, referred to DIS

Hi everyone, has anyone had experience with a Danish Schengen visa application under the EU family member route being referred to the Danish Immigration Service (DIS)?
My husband applied on 3 August and was told on 7 August that his application had been forwarded to DIS. We’ve been told it can take up to 45 days, but our tentative travel date is 2 September.
We’ve already contacted DIS and the Embassy but haven’t received any useful update yet.
For anyone who has been in a similar situation:
How long did your application take?
Did DIS contact you for anything further?
Were you able to receive your passport before your planned travel?
Would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Training extension

Hi everyone. I was hoping to get some advice. I’ve been given extension in training as I failed in WPBA in my final ARCP. I need to show competence in 2 capabilities before I can apply for early release. These are communication & consultation skills and organisation, management and leadership. I had a job offer from my ST2 practice (after I passed my SCA) and they’re kindly willing to hold the job to be advertised until December. My extension will start from Mid-late September. I realise I’m likely not getting the job however would still like to know what’s the earliest realistic time I should be asking for early release and call an early panel? Thank you.
