An actual Cosmic Era side story that's separate from SEED Astray. The last time we got something like this was back when Stargazer came out?

SEED Eclipse has some sick mecha designs. It has interesting politics too. Although the characters themselves aren't as interesting and even until the end don't get much development. There's at least some unexpected MS lore which ties itself back to ORB's secrets. It only gets really interesting halfway though.

Although it's set between SEED and SEED Destiny it's actually best enjoyed after finishing Destiny.

If you feel familiarity with the visual style, it might be because it's done by the guy who's also working on Code Geass Pure Almaria.
