Amravati query

I’m planning to apply to the Air India Flying Training Academy in 2027, so I’m trying to understand the current status of the academy.
Does anyone know:
Has CPL training actually started at the Amravati campus?
Has the first batch commenced?
If not, when is the academy expected to become fully operational?
Are there any pending DGCA approvals or infrastructure delays?
I know Air India had announced the academy some time ago, and trainer aircraft have already started arriving, but I haven’t found any clear update on when full training operations will begin. I’d appreciate any information from people who have spoken with Air India or have reliable sources.

Joining a Cadet Program in 2027: Akasa vs IndiGo for the Fastest Path to JFO and 5,000 Flight Hours

Hi everyone,
I’m a Class 12 PCM student from India and I’ll be joining a cadet program in 2027. My long-term goal is to fly for Emirates or another major Gulf airline, but my immediate objective is to become a Junior First Officer (JFO) as quickly as possible and build 5,000 flight hours in the shortest realistic time.
I’m currently trying to decide between the Akasa Air Cadet Program and the IndiGo Cadet Program.
I know Akasa is expected to induct a good number of cadets in 2026, but I’m wondering what the situation might look like for those joining in 2027.
My questions are:
Do you think Akasa could have a significant backlog by 2027 as more cadets graduate?
Is IndiGo generally a safer choice in terms of consistent inductions and fewer delays?
Which airline is more likely to get a 2027 cadet into the right seat faster after completing training?
Is Akasa’s current hiring pace likely to continue, or is it mainly due to rapid expansion that could slow down later?
Which airline offers better opportunities to accumulate flight hours each year?
If your only goal was to become a JFO as quickly as possible and reach 5,000 flight hours in the shortest time, which airline would you choose?
Does experience on the Boeing 737 at Akasa provide any meaningful advantage when applying to Emirates, flydubai, or other Gulf airlines, or is total experience and PIC time what really matters?
If you were in my position, planning to join in 2027, which cadet program would you choose and why?
I’d especially appreciate responses from current Akasa or IndiGo pilots, cadets, instructors, or anyone familiar with recruitment and induction timelines.
Thanks in advance. I’m trying to make a long-term career decision based on real industry experience rather than assumptions.

EFTA Genral query

Title: Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) - Looking for insights from current students, graduates, or professionals
Hello everyone,
I’m a 17-year-old student from India currently studying Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. My dream is to become an Emirates pilot, and my ultimate goal is to join the Emirates Flight Training Academy (EFTA) after completing my board exams in 2027.
Over the past year, I’ve been preparing seriously for this goal. Along with my school studies, I’m working on improving my English, studying aviation theory, practicing aptitude questions, and trying to understand as much as I can about airline operations and pilot training. Becoming an Emirates pilot isn’t just a career choice for me. It’s something I’ve wanted for years, and I’m committed to giving it everything I have.
If you’re an EFTA student, graduate, instructor, recruiter, or airline pilot, I’d really appreciate your advice.
I have a few questions:
What was the EFTA selection process like from application to final acceptance?
What types of aptitude tests should I expect, and how difficult are they?
How was the interview? What kinds of questions were asked, and what qualities were they looking for?
Approximately how long did the complete training take from Day 1 until graduation?
After graduating from EFTA, what is the airline interview or assessment with Emirates like?
Are there any common mistakes applicants make during selection that I should avoid?
Looking back, what would you have done differently while preparing before joining EFTA?
I’m willing to work as hard as necessary to earn a place, so I’d be grateful for any advice, preparation tips, or personal experiences you can share.
Thank you very much for taking the time to read this. I genuinely appreciate any guidance.
