Artificial Intelligence Coaching

Hey Holly Springs -

I wrote my first machine learning model in 2009 and have been an AI executive for over 10 years in the Bay Area and in RTP. I recently found myself with some free time in the mornings lol.

If you're trying to get into AI, have an idea, want to learn more about it, are stuck on a problem, don't know where to start, etc. DM me and let's see how I can help!

I just genuinely have some free time and can meet at a coffee shop or on a Google Meet - your call. No solicitation - just a willingness to offer my expertise to my fellow community members.

Town Council Meeting 7/21 - If you voted DEM...

If you don't know, town council was flipped from 6 grumpy old white men to a nearly 100% progressive council, including a new mayor in just 2 election cycles. We were promised a council who would quell some of the irresponsible development approvals.

The town council meeting on 7/21 was a complete disregard for that trust and confidence we put in those progressives to push back on developers, not give them a free pass, and demand responsible infrastructure in exchange for approvals of new development.

So what did they do? Sold us out.

Meridian point (a 500 apartment complex behind Harris Teeter at 540) in particular is the most egregious. I'm on an HOA of a 900 home community right near 540/Holly Springs Road. I keep up on town developments pretty heavily. Nobody in our neighborhood knew they were approving this.

How did town council cave?

  • Put 1000+ new cars into the Lassiter Road - ya know, that crazy raceway on your way to Dunkin / Town Hall Burger / Planet Fitness.
  • Gave the developer a variance from widening Sunset Lake Road (right at the zipper to one lane) and Optimist Farm Road.
  • Let the developer deviate from the UDO by letting them install a grassy field with a bench if they so choose.
  • Giving the develop a pass on EV parking installation.
  • Will cause a ton of traffic on Sunset Lake Road, Holly Springs Road, and the 540 interchange, without any additional support.
  • Many others.

We can address the other developments these fake progressives approved in a future post. Most damming is when they invited to Chief of Police to talk about Flock cameras, and he justified we don't use Flock. The HSPD uses Verint (owned by Motorola for LPR). Which is literally the exact same thing and completely the same abuses exist. And what did your progressive council do when they heard this? Thanked the chief.

Not sure how we return our progressive democratic council members, but I have serious buyers remorse after the 7/21 council meeting and I would encourage everyone to read what happened there.
