Enlighten me on the balanced methods legal in this Denmark.

I feel like the only things i can find online about modern dog training is positive reinforcement, and that everything else is bad.

My question is: if i want to do balanced dog training, how do i use the consequences to decrease behaviour correctly?

As I have understood there are 4 types of operant conditioning:

R+ you add something the dog likes. Behavior increases.

P- you remove something the dog likes. Behavior decreases.

P+ you add something the dog does not like. Behavior decreases.

R- you remove something the dog does not like. Behavior increases.

I live in Denmark where ecollars, prongcollars and so on are illegal, and people really think its weird that we crate our 4 month old golden.

Its hard to really find a nuanced answer on this.

My moms dad was a police-dog trainer in the 60/70s so if she wants to correct my dog she grabs her by the neck-skin and makes her lie down. But i dont feel like that method works for me, i guess its more efficient for her because she is a 'stranger'.

- AND im unsure about the consequences of this method.

Ellie sleeps in her crate in the office-room in our house.

She is fine with that most of the time, but lately she has started barking and crying when she hears noices from us in the rest of the house.

I work from home most of the time, and when i put her in, she is fine with it most of the time. But especially if me and my wife are home, and we start doing something (cleaning, making food, sometimes just talking, or walking around) she will wake up, even though we checked that she was asleep when we closed the door to her room.

When im alone with her, she often calms down by herself again, but in the afternoon, when my wife is home as well, she well keep on barking and get more and more stressed.

We have tried (as we were guided to) ignoring it for 15 minutes to see if she would self soothe, but she doesn't.

Regardless if we just keep on making noises or are quiet.

How do we help her calm down by herself?

My 17 week old golden puppy is not allowed on the couch. But she will get on it anyways (primarily when we are not within reach to stop her before she jumps)

Sometimes it works to call her name, say "AH AH", or tell her "Place" if she aims for the couch.

But when she gets on the couch she reacts like in the video. She barks, runs, bites, and gets ready to avoid us if we get nearer.

We have tried:

Ignoring her when she gets on

Correcting by saying "AH AH" and pulling her down

Calling her name and "Come"

Redirecting by telling her "place"

We have also trained "couch limits" a couple of times with the leash, and when we train it, she gets it. We can throw stuff we just played with or treats on the couch and she will sit and look at us.

Does freezing my 16 week old pup's kibbles in water ruin their adult teeth?

My golden retriever just started losing her teeth, and i got recommended freezing the Kong and putting a bowl with water and kibbles in the freezer for her.

I got recommended to do this, but now I started to worry if this can hurt her adult teeth?
