I will loose my job

Hey all, another sad story here. Just letting it out.

I have a county job w the District Attorney's office. As soon as I applied on January 14th, I talked the person in charge of i-9 who i normally send my work permit to when I renew. She said to keep her posted. As time passed i would keep in contact. I submitted a request for LOA ( leave with out pay) on june 21, 30 days before my work permit expired. I never received a response. Yesterday before the 3 day holiday her boss called me. She told me they spoke with legal that if I dont turn in anything in (the letter saying my work permit is on the way or the actual work permit) by the end of work on the 21st, I will not be able to return to work and I will be terminated. LOA can't be approved because I will still show as employeed in their system.

I wanted to cry in my desk.

The attorney's i work with wrote me a letter of support for my uscis application but when I submitted the expedite request. I got told I was till in time. I did contact my congress man and was told they are not getting responses from uscis either.

Applied. January 14

Fingerprint. February 4

Api Movements June 16

Expiration. July 21st

So much I want to say, just dont feel I have the words for it.

Thank you all for all the resources you all post.
