Creating a massive collection of printable picture books with AI

Hey guys,

AI image generation has gotten really good and there is a specific application that I am considering.

Parents typically use picture books to introduce children to various objects and living things we might see in our world, like birds or plants.

Until now these books had to be manually created and physically published. While there are benefits to this, it also comes with real caveats.

  1. Slow Discovery: Finding and collecting new books. Its helpful if you have a library close by but this might not be the case for everyone
  2. Cost: The cost on the books can add up
  3. Storage: The books can take up a lot of space at home

Create a large collection of printable visual books

  1. Parents can browse and search through hundreds of books
  2. Download and print them right at home
  3. Come back for more when they are done

Do you think such a collection would benefit you ?

If you are a parent, I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Printable Visual Books

So I know that a lot of parents don't want their kids in front of a screen. So typically they might buy picture books. But there are only so many books you can buy and the cost is also sure to add up.

I am thinking of creating a collection of 100s of visual books that are formatted to fit perfectly in an A4 sheet. You can browse and print the ones you like right at home.

Let me know what you think and if such a collection would actually benefit you.

Create printable visual books

So I know that a lot of parents don't want their kids in front of a screen. I have built something that lets you create custom visual books that fit perfectly in an A4 sheet. Just print them in your home and they are ready to go.

A lot more work is required, some users have said that the text is too verbose for kids. I would love to hear from parents on how useful they would find this.

I am planning to create a collection of 100s of visual books that you can just download and print.

Here is an example: https://www.visualbook.app/books/public/z49dxk1ryqpi/ethan_labels_nature

You can also try creating your own books with simple prompts like: "Teaching colors to ages 2-4"

Printable Visual Books

Hey guys,

Looking for some feedback.

I know that a lot of parents do not want their kids in front of a screen. So the idea is to enable you to create custom visual books really easily. You can download and print them on an A4 sheet.

The prompts are really simple too: "A visual book for ages 0-4 showing a child exploring colors"

I also have plans of creating a large collection of Visual Books, categorised by age, so that you can just select and print the ones you are interested in.

Here is an example Visual Book: https://www.visualbook.app/books/public/ljxl046qe4g0/liams_color_hunt

The product is completely free and you can create your own with simple prompts. The images might occasionally contain errors but you can easily regenerate them or even fix them with a prompt.

Let me know what you think.

Create visual instruction guides

Hey guys,

I have built something that helps you create instruction guides for your business or product. If you have PDF instruction booklets you can convert them into illustrated guides easily. You can also just start with a prompt, add plain text or a link as a source.

It also has support for a story mode, which helps you express your instructions as a character's journey. You can even pick the character you want!

You can find the full guide for setting up a home speaker system at https://www.visualbook.app/books/view/auzst1ayj1i4/marcus_builds_home_cinema

The idea was to learn complex technical topics by visualising every small concept and example. However until now even the simplest scenarios involving vector physics would often have a lot of errors. The directions would almost always be wrong and the level of detail was only acceptable. This in turn made it far less viable for learning than I wanted it to be. And so until now it has largely been used by people for creating things like instructional presentations where the level of detail was good enough.

However, for the first time, latest models like gpt-image-2 are enabling us to create truly useful visualisations for education. The level of detail, the understanding of space and orientation and the text fidelity have all dramatically improved. I honestly thought this would take several years.
