Hey everyone! I just moved to Cookeville and I am looking for insight regarding recommended restaurants and stores to go to that aren’t going to give me a hard time because of the color of my skin. I’m going to tech for a grad degree and I have just felt a bit uncomfortable with the large amount of racism around and crazy stares!

My name is Janasica Joyner and I am a recent college graduate. I graduated from Tennessee State University this year in May with my Bachelors of Science in Chemistry. Due to not receiving a full ride scholarship to fully cover my tuition, I had to take loans out. Due to the new information regarding the amount a student may take out for federal loans (loans that can be forgiven) private loans were needed (can’t be forgiven).
