Hello, another post asking for itinerary help — much appreciated.

We’re travelling with our two-year-old to Crete in early June. Flying into Chania, then meeting friends in Kalamaki after 7 days for a relaxed villa/beach stretch. We’ll have already had a villa stay in Tinos before that.

Since we’ll be well and truly “beached up” before and after, we’re keen to enjoy some small city and village life — restaurants, public life, etc. Love history, culture, food, etc. plus naturally a few swims, but not full beach relax style.

Does anyone have suggestions for the best way to travel to Kalamaki?

Thinking:

  • 4–5 nights in Chania with day trips around
  • 2–3 days making our way south to Kalamaki — via where?

We don’t want to drive too much with Bub, but are happy with 1–2 hour stretches, stopping along the way.

Thanks!
