Checkpoint ALR4 or Domane AL5?
I'm a newer rider (always rode as a kid) trying to get into riding. I've been to the local Trek store about 4-5 times recently. I test rode both bikes and enjoyed different things about each. I love the speed and shifting of the Domane but also love the ride and stability of the Checkpoint. It also felt good climbing. For reference, I live in an area that has a ton of paved bike trails (some busier than others) and will probably start off riding on trails.
To start, I'd probably ride about 20-30 miles once or twice a week and would eventually want to trial some light adventure racing. I could also see that progressing in the future to me joining a group and riding longer distances. I enjoyed both bikes but can only get one. I'd welcome any thoughts, feedback, and recommendations! Anyone else in or ever been in a similar situation?
