My first ever quilt top is pretty abysmal, what should I do with it? Fix and quilt it anyway, or pick the seams and redo from the start? [Trigger warning: seam gore]
This naughty girl has been collecting dust for 5+ years. I hand sewed half of it and machine sewed half. Seam allowance seemingly ranges between .5 to .00001 inches. Would you 1. fix it enough to lay (kinda) flat and just quilt it as is? Or 2. seam rip and redo? I would need to recut and remeasure because some of the edges are pretty frayed. I have a few more squares of each color and a lot of the filler dark purple fabric. Or some other third option I haven’t thought of?
Feel free to roast.
