buying a faulty Nikon?

Greetings everyone. I bought a Nikon D780 from a private person via the Internet. The purchase took place remotely with delivery by a transport company. When I received the camera, I saw that when installing D series lenses, the camera reports an fEE error and cannot control the aperture. After making sure that the aperture ring on the lens was fixed correctly, I tried this lens on another D780 and there it worked immediately after installation without any problems. I wanted to know - are there any features of installing D series lenses on the Nikon D780? Maybe you need to enable some function in the menu or were there any firmware bugs? Or did I get a clearly faulty camera?

at the pinnacle of happiness

We went to another city to visit my parents for the holidays. My dog loves my parents very much, but we see them very rarely – about once every six months. In a short time, he met them, walked around their house, remembering all the smells and places he missed, then wandered around the unfamiliar city center, then went to the beach and washed his paws in the sea. And after that, he went to a country summer house, where he made friends with three neighbor dogs and ran around without a leash. And just when it seemed he couldn't be happier, his owner pulled out his favorite ring!

What should I talk about in a photography lesson?

Hello, everyone. I've arranged with the school administration to hold a photography club for children aged 10 to 18. I'm offering it for free because I have some free time and want to try my hand at teaching. I've never participated in such an event before, so I'd like to ask for your advice: what should I teach the children in class?

In the first lesson, I'd like to explain photography in general and the different types of cameras (without going into too much detail about the history of photography or other irrelevant facts), the differences between old and new cameras, sensor size, basic controls and settings, file formats, exposure, and the exposure triangle. I think that's enough for the first lesson. Later, I'll cover different types of photography and shooting styles, different lenses and their uses, shooting under artificial light, basic rules of composition and general photography principles, RAW file processing, the histogram, and white balance. If anyone has experience teaching photography or any ideas, I would love for you to share some key topics that could be discussed in photography lessons.

My old D700 finally arrived. I haven't used it in a while since I upgraded to a D4. After 450,000 shots, the D700 was sent to another city to have the eccentric and shutter replaced. When it arrived, it turned out to have a focusing issue, so it had to be sent to another city for adjustment. It finally arrived yesterday, and today I needed to check on my dacha after the spring flood, so I decided to take it with me to check its functionality. Damn, the colors on the D700 are simply stunning! All the photos were taken directly from RAW files: exposure, white balance, and sharpness were slightly adjusted. No color correction was used; even the saturation was left untouched.
