It’s fascinating how influential The Police were in the 80s.

Their sound was so unique and admired it spawned many acts who to a greater or lesser extent sought to emulate them. Their style also inspired many established bands.

Just off the top of my head these are all the bands I can think of who were obviously influenced by them.
