New flight controller showing up as 'Betaflight STM Electronics' and refusing to connect?
SOLVED - Messed around with the Impulse driver fixer and that seems to have done the trick
Hey Reddit,
I was trying to set up a new build but Betaflight isn't showing my flight controller as itself, instead naming it 'Betaflight STM Electronics' and failing to properly connect. When I press connect, Betaflight will attempt to open the port but time out after failing to connect for a handful of seconds. It connected the first try, but almost immediately disconnected after calibrating the accelerometer. Connecting with a battery plugged in at the same time also doesn't seem to help.
The flight controller (Speedybee F405 AIO) is practically brand new, and hasn't had anything done to it software-wise until now. I've tried updating the firmware to no avail, and from what I've seen across a handful of forums, this isn't exactly a common problem as I haven't found any fixes so far. I am using the web-version of Betaflight currently, though I don't think that should be causing the problem.
I really wish I could give more information to help troubleshoot, but there really isn't much to work with.
